Kindred Spirit astrologer Demian Allan reveals what’s written in the stars for June 2023

These next three months are full of astrological activity and movement, and for many of us, it may feel like we’re on the merry-go-round. On 18 June, Saturn goes retrograde for the first time since its residence in Pisces. This will allow ideas that first arose in early March to be fully tested. On 11 June Pluto returns to Capricorn for the rest of the year – issues that have been dominating the news since 2008 may come back up to the surface.   Notable Astrological Dates  ✧ 4 June – Full moon in Sagittarius, 4.32 ✧ 11 June – Pluto enters Capricorn, 10.45 ✧ 18 June – New moon in Gemini, 5.37 ✧ 21 June – Summer Solstice   Aries  As the month progresses your ruler Mars starts to apply a square aspect with the planet Uranus in the sky. This can be a tense confrontation between the two planets, if not channelled correctly. To utilise this energy, make sure that you are concentrating on mind, body and spirit. Yoga or meditation exercises may help you maintain a better balance.     Taurus The energy of Jupiter takes full flight this month. You seek to understand your own motivations in an external way, by pushing forward with new ideas and plans for your future. On 6 June, your ruler Venus moves into your 4th solar house, helping you to discover the more social side of your personality.     Gemini On 11 June, your ruler Mercury begins its journey through your own zodiac sign. This is a powerful combination, creating changes in self-expression and how you communicate with those around you. However, the planet Jupiter is transiting through the area of your solar chart and requires a certain amount of retreat from the world. You could feel conflicted at times. Everything in moderation.     Cancer How you value yourself is going to be the main focus of this month, with the planets Venus and Mars travelling in your 2nd house. We tend to define our identity by what we have, and the way in which we make our money. However, this is the perfect time to take a look at your own motivations and come to some profound conclusions.   Leo You have two planets travelling in your own sign to contend with this month: both Venus and Mars are creating a fusion of energy that can be channelled into a creative form. Relationships will spark off into new directions that help you to let go of old patterns of behaviour, which may have prevented you from moving forwards in the past.     Virgo There is a lot of 12th house activity for you this month, as the planets Venus and Mars are travelling through this most secretive part of your chart. This suggests that there is a lot of inner work that can be done over the next four weeks, through meditation, creative visualisations, or inner mantras.     Libra Jupiter has moved into your solar 8th house for the next 12 months. This brings rewards, and you can expect expansion to do with self-development and an understanding of your own internal processes. There is also somewhat greater optimism when it comes to the outcome of risk-taking with financial matters, which with Jupiter, you must be always alert to.     Scorpio This month is all about your career as the planets Venus and Mars travel through your solar 10th house, pushing you to make decisions that will keep you focused. You cannot shy away from the limelight this month – you must embrace the attention that you are getting. If you can do so, it will open up some wonderful opportunities in your work, career or hobbies.   Sagittarius From 18 June the planet Saturn starts moving backwards in the sky, in your solar 4th house. This can slow things down when it comes to the home and family, and means that you may feel a bit overwhelmed by the responsibilities that are suddenly being expected from you. True – this is not necessarily your strong suit, but have faith all will be well.     Capricorn Your planetary ruler Saturn moves retrograde from the 18th in your 4th house. Expect delays or limitations in regard to the home and family that might make you feel frustrated. The way to respond to this energy is to be pragmatic and not allow the more emotional aspects of your personality to overwhelm you.   Aquarius The planets Venus and Mars travel in your solar 7th house, activating the relationship area of your chart. This is a month in which you’ll be telling it like it is to partners, expressing your opinions, insights and expectations. Just don’t be too direct in your approach. Learn to see both sides of the debate, and you will be rewarded.     Pisces On 18 June, Saturn moves backwards in your own sign. This indicates a period of reflective activity, which will require self-discipline on your part. On 11 June Mercury enters your solar 4th house, activating communication and lots of activity in the home and family.
