What inspires an independent, successful woman to dedicate her beautiful home and life to the fulfilment of others’ best potential? Suzy Castleman opens her doors and her heart to explain why we all need a space to reconnect all aspects of ourselves in order to live in bliss. On arriving at the Manor, near the town of Sharnbrook, Bedford, having negotiated the imposing gated entrance and long drive, you could be forgiven for thinking this all rather grand. The property itself dates back to the times of the Crusades and sits astride a powerful leyline in 50 acres of grounds. But once inside it takes on a whole other dimension. It is welcoming, almost cosy, and immediately one feels at ease. It is as if the building requires people to make it whole, to give it purpose as a place of succour. It is steeped in symbolism: from the natural world, large crystal formations are carefully positioned throughout the building, a vast range of deities are represented and then there is a healthy dose of monastic influence. There is wealth in this building both material and, more importantly, historical. It is a place of knowledge, profound learning can be found here. Perhaps this is why, having been recently widowed, Suzy was drawn to bringing teachers and facilitators here in order to help anyone willing to understand their truth.
