Introducing Burrows Lea: A Unique Wedding Venue for Civil Partnerships

“The very best way to begin our lives together”

Burrows Lea Country House is proud to announce it is now an approved venue for Civil Partnerships, as of 31st March 2012.

This Victorian Country House is no ordinary wedding venue. Its location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, high in the Surrey Hills village of Shere, yet amenable to Guildford and London, immediately sets it at an advantage, as does its setting in 30 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland.

Burrows Lea also happens to be one of the very few venues in the County of Surrey that can offer both religious and civil partnership wedding ceremonies. The venue also has its own registrar and wedding planner, and a beautiful Chapel, nestled within the house. A stunning marquee is also available in the garden, enjoying a panoramic view of the Hills.

Finally, and perhaps most pertinently, Burrows Lea is part of a truly unique and world famous legacy: forming part of the registered charity The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was founded over 60 years ago by the internationally renowned healer, Harry Edwards, and continues to offer healing to those in need. The house and grounds of Burrows Lea, therefore, is a very special place, imbued with a sense of peace, tranquility and serenity.

Wedding ceremonies and receptions held at Burrows Lea, help fund the charitable work of the Sanctuary, which many find a positive aspect of hosting their special day here.

Burrows Lea upholds an all-embracing legacy and prides itself in offering a warm, friendly, and highly professional service.
