THREE STARS

The background to this book is that nature equals numbers. Marie Jones and Larry Flaxman take you through a selection of topics – 11:11, numerology, sacred geometry, symbols, sequences and universal constants. They cover a wide ranging remit from the history of numbers to spirituality where they ask if God is a number. Each is analysed in a rational and methodical way that is accessible to any non-mathematician. The book is full of humour and respect for each theme, giving facts and examples. The authors also succeed in explaining the more complex mathematical concepts in a simple way. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a reference that helps you make up your own mind about the role of numbers in our Universe. Those looking for a work on purely 11:11 though may feel disappointed, this work is wide in its scope but not deep on that particular subject. However it does succeed in putting the 11:11 phenomenon into context as the authors show how numbers shape our existence. Some are even essential to us being here and reading this page! Overall it was clearly written, fast paced, informative and well researched. Anne Feakes
